LOMBARD, IL – Mechanical Products (MP) Announces release of S87 - Heavy Duty CB / Marine Rated Circuit Breaker (MRCB)
Available in ratings from 25 to 250 Amps, the NEW Series 87 offers a resettable single lever breaker in a comparable mounting footprint in both panel and surface mount configurations. MP completed a comprehensive review of the needs required in current and future demanding harsh applications that have increased amperage requirements. The expansion of amperage rating from 200A up to 250A is significant in this style and package offering.
MP designed the new 87 Series with two sets of cadmium free contacts for improved performance over the competition and to meet the requirements for environmental factors in the elimination of cadmium. They have a standard 5/16” and optional 3/8” threaded termination. Type III have a rated voltage of 48VDC Max. All models have an Interrupt Capacity of 5000A at 14VDC and a dielectric strength of 1500VAC. They comply with SAE Standard J553 & J1171, are IP66 rated and are ROHS compliant.
The MP Series 87 is designed for various applications and used in: Trucks, Buses, RV’s & Motorhomes, Electric Vehicles, Boats & Yachts and more! The NEW Series 87 MRCB Circuit Breakers are an excellent complement to MP’s existing transportation product lineup including Series 17, 18, & 19 circuit breakers, also designed for harsh environments and available up to 300 Amps. The MP Series 87 is an upgraded solution to the Bussmann 187 and Blue Seas 187 Series Circuit Breakers (MRCB).
