Series 17 High Amp IP67 rated waterproof circuit breaker is now available with a recessed manual push to trip button feature for the protection of critical vehicle applications with limited installation space and where access needs to be restricted to maintenance and service personnel.
All the ruggedness and reliability of the Series 17 high amp circuit breaker is now combined with the functionality of a guarded push to trip feature. Ideal for manufacturers and upfitters of work trucks, service equipment and emergency vehicles. This customer-driven design is not offered by any other manufacturer today.
The NEW recessed manual push to trip button has been designed to meet the increasing demands of small spaces within vehicle compartments. This new button style allows the user to locate the circuit breaker in an unprotected location and be confident the circuit breaker will not be inadvertently tripped by unauthorized personnel or when bumped by another object. No button cover required.
The new recessed button is available on both the surface mount and panel mount configurations from 25 Amp to 200 amp. The series 17 is made with 1/4" or 3/8" stainless steel terminal studs and sems nuts to reduce corrosion. Its IP67 waterproof and ignition protected SAE J1171 compliant. The mounting hole configuration is a drop in replacement for similar devices such as Blue Sea or Sensata Klixon SDLS & FDLS series, as well as Eaton Bussmann 185 or 285 Series circuit breakers.
Reduce downtime by replacing Class T fuses with MP high amp circuit breakers. No spare fuses required on the vehicle. The Series 17 comes with visible trip indication for quick identification.
